Social workers have a wide range of professional duties and responsibilities, regardless of role or location. Their core social work activities include assessment of needs, relationship building, advocacy, counseling, counseling therapy, case management, and crisis intervention. They are aiming to improve people's well-being. They work with people of all ages and backgrounds to address issues ranging from psychological challenges to domestic violence. While caring for others is a necessary task and important responsibility in the helping profession, the potential emotional and health risks that social workers pose as workers cannot be ignored. After all, only by maintaining a healthy and grounded emotional state can social workers provide ethical, effective, and professional services.

It’s been a long time since I’ve done a trauma training workshop, especially on self-care in the helping professions. I received positive feedback from this training on the last day of summer vacation, which not only expanded and deepened the participants’ trauma knowledge, but also helped to improve their awareness of vicarious trauma and effective prevention and protection measures. Thank you! Encourage each other!
